Got time off and want to spend Easter in Morocco without going alone? Morocco is a short flight from much of Europe, and spring is one of the best times to visit the desert. At Desconecta2Viajes we run shared group tours for people travelling solo, so you can discover Marrakech, Fes and the Sahara with new people.
Easter 2027 dates
In 2027 Holy Week runs from Palm Sunday, 21 March, to Easter Sunday, 28 March. That gives you plenty of time for a 2 to 6-day desert tour or even a one-week tour.
Useful to know: according to astronomical forecasts, Ramadan 2027 should begin around 8 February and end around 9 or 10 March, so Easter falls after it. Exact dates depend on the sighting of the moon.
Why Morocco in spring
- Pleasant daytime temperatures in the Merzouga desert, far from the summer heat.
- Snow still on the Atlas peaks and the southern valleys in bloom.
- Close to Europe: you can make the most of the week without losing days on long flights.
Group tours for Easter
Depending on the days you have, these routes fit best:
- 2 or 3 days: the shared 3-day tour from Marrakech, from 90 €, or the 2-day tour from Fes, from 140 €.
- 4 to 6 days: the 4-day, 5-day or 6-day trips from Marrakech, with more time in the Dades and Todra valleys.
- One week: the 7-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech via Chefchaouen, Fes and the desert.
Tips for booking at Easter
- Book early: Easter is a busy time and flights get more expensive the longer you wait.
- Secure your place with a 50 € deposit via PayPal.
- Check that your passport is valid for at least 6 months.
- Bring a warm jacket: desert nights are still cool in March. See our full list of what to pack for the Merzouga desert.
