2-day desert tour from Fes: day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

We pick you up in the morning from your riad or hotel in Fes. We cross the Middle Atlas through Ifrane and the cedar forest of Azrou, where Barbary macaques are often seen. Then we continue through Midelt and the Ziz Valley to Erfoud. In the late afternoon we reach Merzouga and ride dromedaries to the camp as the sun goes down.

Overnight: camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes, standard or luxury depending on your choice, with dinner and breakfast.

Day 2: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

We wake you for the sunrise over the dunes and ride back to Merzouga for breakfast. Then we head north through the Ziz Valley, Midelt and the Middle Atlas. We reach Fes in the late afternoon and drop you at your accommodation.

Overnight: end of the tour in Fes.
