Planning LGBTQ+ travel in Morocco? At Desconecta2Viajes we organise private, tailor-made trips so you can explore Marrakech, the Atlas and the Merzouga desert with respect, discretion and personal support at all times.
What to know before travelling to Morocco as an LGBTQ+ traveller
We want you to travel well informed. According to official travel advice, such as that of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, same-sex relationships are penalised under Moroccan law and trans or non-binary people are not legally recognised. That is why we recommend these guidelines:
- Avoid public displays of affection. This social norm also applies to heterosexual couples.
- Be careful with dating apps and with meeting strangers.
- Protect your privacy when talking about your personal life with people you have just met.
- Always carry your passport and keep your consulate's phone number.
How we look after you during the trip
- Private trip: only you and your companions, with your own driver.
- Accommodation chosen by us and handled discreetly.
- Tailor-made route: the Merzouga desert, Marrakech, the Atlas or whatever you prefer.
- Direct contact on WhatsApp before and during the trip.
Price: from 800 € per person for a private trip. This is different from our shared group tours, which start at 90 €.
Below you will find our 3-day route from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert as an example. We adapt it to your dates, your pace and the type of accommodation you prefer.
