3-day desert tour from Fes: day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
We pick you up in the morning from your riad or hotel in Fes. We cross the Middle Atlas through Ifrane and the cedar forest of Azrou, and continue through Midelt and the Ziz Valley to Merzouga, at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Overnight: hotel or guesthouse in Merzouga, with dinner and breakfast.
Day 2: Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – camp in the dunes
We spend the day around Merzouga. We visit Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music, and the historic town of Rissani. In the late afternoon we ride dromedaries to the camp to watch the sunset over the dunes.
Overnight: camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes, standard or luxury depending on your choice, with dinner and breakfast.
Day 3: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes
Sunrise over the dunes, ride back and breakfast. Then we head north through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas. We reach Fes in the late afternoon and drop you at your accommodation.
Overnight: end of the tour in Fes.

The standard camp has a private tent and a shared bathroom. The luxury camp (+55 €) adds a private bathroom with hot shower, a double bed with a real mattress, electricity, heating or air conditioning and a special dinner.
