Rutas compartidas al desierto de Marruecos: dunas de Merzouga

Group Tours in Morocco: How They Work, Prices and Routes

A group tour in Morocco is the easiest way to discover the country if you are travelling solo: you choose the route and the date, and we take care of transport, accommodation and the night in the desert. You share the experience with other people who are also keen to discover Morocco and meet new people. In this guide we explain how our group tours work, what they cost, which routes there are and how to book.

How does a group tour with Desconecta2Viajes work?

  • You choose the route: from 2 to 7 days, leaving from Marrakech, Fes, Tangier or Agadir.
  • You choose the date, the number of people and a standard or luxury camp on the tour page.
  • You send the booking without paying anything online and confirm your place with a 50 € deposit via PayPal. The rest is paid later.
  • We confirm everything on WhatsApp: pick-up point, time and what to bring.
  • You travel in a group with transport, accommodation and a night in a desert camp included.

Who are group tours for?

They are designed above all for people travelling solo who do not want to organise everything themselves: solo travellers, women travelling alone, friends who sign up together or anyone who prefers company. If it is your first time, also read our guide to travelling solo in Morocco with a group and our tips for solo female travel.

Group tour prices in Morocco

Our shared tours cost from 90 € per person for the 3-day tour from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert and from 140 € for the 2-day tour from Fes. The luxury camp costs 55 € more per person. To confirm your place you only pay a 50 € deposit. Each tour page lists what is and is not included (for example, lunches, entrance fees or tips). You can compare every price on our shared desert tours page.

Our group routes

Which route should I choose?

  • Short on time: the 3-day tour from Marrakech is the most popular, or the 2-day tour if you are in Fes.
  • No rush: the 4, 5 and 6-day trips leave more time at each stop and in the desert.
  • Travelling between cities: the routes from Marrakech to Fes, or Fes to Marrakech, via the desert drop you in the other city.
  • Want to see the whole country: the 7-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech goes through Chefchaouen, Fes, the desert and Marrakech.

The night in the Merzouga desert

Every desert route includes the experience our travellers remember most: a camel ride at sunset through the Erg Chebbi dunes and a night in a camp with dinner, music and a starry sky. Wondering what to pack? Here is our list of what to pack for the Merzouga desert.

Before you travel

Check that your passport is valid, carry some cash in dirhams and bring a warm layer for the desert night. You will find more ideas in our 10 tips for travelling to Morocco.
